Contra Costareturned over $3.5 million to low-income taxpayers throughout Contra Costa in 2009 by providing free, IRS-certified tax filing assistance. In five years, more than 230 people have completed our class on family budgeting, credit repair, savings and investment. Through our CC-MATCH IDA program, 60 low-income savers have achieved their financial goal of purchasing their first home, investing in a small business, or paying for post-secondary education.
